Welcome to Everything Energy Forum. Energy is a very important commodity in the world today and also in the foreseeable future. The energy business is going through a transformation driven by new emerging countries, global warming, and the shift to augment current energy sources with sustainable sources such as solar, wind, synthetic fuels and energy conservation. The growing global energy demand is growing new technology and market opportunities.
World energy consumption is increasing on a gross level and on a per capita basis driven by emerging countries as manufacturing has shifted to lower cost countries. Historically energy per capita as measured in Gigajoules peaked in the 1970's and stayed flat for nearly 30 years. In the early 2000's the per capita global energy use started to increase as emerging countries started to use more energy. With many developing countries around the world, we can expect energy demand from these countries to increase. Developed economies need energy to sustain their productivity and on average consume 10 times the barrels equivalent of oil per capita of an undeveloped nation. As countries develop the trend suggests that developing countries first increase their energy per capita use by a factor of 3 as they begin to emerge to levels such as Brazil, Indonesia and China before jumping another factor of 3 as they fully develop to the level of Germany, Japan, France and the United States. This points to an expected trend of increasing global energy demand. In order to fill this increasing demand without draining our finite conventional fuels resources, destroying the environment and drive global warming, human society must work with all areas of energy: fossils fuels, nuclear, renewable and conservation to successfully achieve a developed world economy This forum is an independent web sight with the aspiration to bring all the energy communities together to collaborate and help develop the best known solutions for the worlds energy needs. It is not just for the energy source itself, but the entire ecosystem required to bring sustainable energy to the world. -- Everything Energy! |
